Assistant Foreign Minister Wu Jianghao Attends the National Day Reception of Indonesia

On October 27, 2022, Assistant Foreign Minister Wu Jianghao attended upon invitation the National Day Reception held by the Indonesian Embassy in China. He exchanged views with Indonesian Ambassador to China Djauhari Oratmangun on bilateral relations, among other things.

Congratulating Indonesia on its 77th anniversary of independence, Wu Jianghao noted that the current China-Indonesia relations have maintained strong momentum of growth, and President Xi Jinping and Indonesian President Joko Widodo, having set the general direction of building a China-Indonesia community with a shared future, have charted the course for the development of bilateral relations. Wu stressed the importance for the two sides to implement the major common understanding reached between the two heads of state, and promote bilateral relations to new levels, and noted that China will fully support Indonesia in hosting the upcoming G20 Summit.

Djauhari Oratmangun said that Indonesia attaches great importance to developing relations with China, and that Indonesia is ready to strengthen cooperation with China, and make more contributions to regional cooperation and global governance.
