On 8th June, H.E. Ambassador Xiao Jianguo was invited to attend  the Dragon Boat Festival event hosted by the Brunei Society of Chinese Writers, Calligraphers and Artists.

Ambassador Xiao highlighted that the Dragon Boat Festival embodies the profound spiritual essence of the Chinese nation and the event serves as an artistic bridge, preserving the beauty of Chinese culture and fostering mutual affection and understanding between the peoples of China and Brunei. It is a vivid practice of implementing the Global Civilization Initiative and advancing the building of a China-Brunei community with a shared future.

Ambassador Xiao emphasized that the successful state visit of His Majesty Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam to China in February and the recent Central Conference on Work Related to Neighboring Countries, have opened up broad prospects for China-Brunei relations. The Embassy will work hand in hand with friends from all sectors in Brunei to deepen comprehensive and practical cooperation between two sides, including people-to-people exchanges, so as to achieve more tangible outcomes in building a China-Brunei community with a shared future.

Ambassador Xiao also watched the guqin, singing and calligraphy performances with other guests.
