On October 13, 2022, Director-General of the Department of Asian Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Liu Jinsong met with Mongolian Ambassador to China Tuvshin Badral. The two sides exchanged views on China-Mongolia relations.

Hailing the continued sound momentum of growth in China-Mongolia relations, Liu Jinsong noted that there have been frequent high-level exchanges of visits between the two sides since the beginning of this year. Not long ago, President Xi Jinping had a face-to-face meeting with President Ukhnaa Khurelsukh in Samarkand, the first of its kind since the outbreak of COVID-19, and the two heads of state reached important common understanding on enriching the China-Mongolia comprehensive strategic partnership in the new era, charting the course for the development of bilateral relations. NPC National Committee Chairman Li Zhanshu and State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi respectively visited Mongolia, and bilateral exchanges and cooperation in various fields have made fresh progress. China is ready to work with Mongolia to implement the important common understanding reached between the leaders of the two countries by strengthening strategic communication and advancing practical cooperation across the board, so as to bring more benefits to the two peoples.

Badral said that despite the turbulence and instability in the current international situation, Mongolia-China relations and cooperation in various fields have enjoyed sustained momentum of growth, setting a fine example for state-to-state relations. This year has witnessed frequent exchanges between leaders of the two countries, enabling greater progress in bilateral relations. Badral noted that the forthcoming 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China is of great importance to China and the wider world; Mongolia will follow the event closely and sincerely wishes it a complete success.
