On April 3, 2023, the Secretariat of the Chinese Follow-up Committee of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) held a group meeting for consultation with diplomatic envoys of African countries to China. Secretary General of the Chinese Follow-up Committee of the FOCAC and Director-General of the Department of African Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Wu Peng co-chaired the meeting with Ambassador Ibrahima Sory SYLLA of Senegal, the African co-chair of the FOCAC. Nearly 100 members of the diplomatic corps of African members of the FOCAC and representatives of competent departments of Ministry of Commerce of China and China International Development Cooperation Agency were present. The two sides exchanged in-depth views on the implementation of the outcomes of the Eighth Ministerial Conference of the FOCAC.
