On 10th November 2020, Ambassador Li Minggang met with Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Sheikh Ahmad Mansour Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, with the presence of the Chinese Defense Attaché to Kuwait Xue Chuanlai.

Ambassador Li noted that, China attaches high importance to the China-Kuwait strategic partnership. As the next year will mark the 50th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Kuwait, China is keen to carry out furthercooperation and exchanges with Kuwait in various fields including the defense sector toyield greater progress in the relations between the two countries and two armies.

Sheikh Ahmad praises the traditional friendship between Kuwait and China as well as the evolving bilateral relations in recent years. The Kuwaiti side would like to work together with its Chinese counterparts on promoting bilateral defense and military exchanges and cooperation to enrich the Kuwait-China strategic partnership.
