On May 11, 2023, Director-General of the Department of Asian Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Liu Jinsong met with newly-appointed Singaporean Ambassador to China Tan Hai Chuan. Liu Jinsong welcomed Tan’s assumption of the new post in China, and the two sides had a friendly and sincere exchange of views on China-Singapore relations and international and regional issues of mutual interest and concern.

On the same day, Director-General Liu Jinsong also met with the Editor-in-Chief of the Straits Times Jaime Ho, and briefed on China’s neighborhood diplomacy.
